Time Management
Summary
Simple time management concepts and practices can be useful in
eliminating stress and making webmastering and website designing
processes easier. When you throw yourself into your work and become
a workaholic, other things begin to suffer because you will lose
track of things that are important in life. Not knowing your own
limitations can also lead to the workaholic syndrome. Most times
it stems from unrealistic ideas or expectations generated from Internet
hype rather than real life fact. By making sure you are well informed
instead of misinformed, and setting a schedule and following it
will help to insure you do not fall victim to the workaholic trap.
To avoid the other problem of biting off more than you can chew,
it is important to understand what your limitations and time restrictions
are before adding more to your design project. You can minimize
some of the problems through implementing automation processes that
eliminate some of the time involved with the design process. You
can also outsource some of the process by integrating other company
products/services that complement your own. This not only helps
to automate the process, but also gives you things to offer your
present visitors to keep them coming back. It will also help you
to appear larger than you really are.
By knowing your limitations, goals, and automating what you can,
it will give you more time to do the things that you want to do
in life. You will be able to find the time to do the things that
matter to you the most, and spend time with those loved ones that
you are probably doing this to benefit in the first place. Take
time to live life, not just work it.
